Unforgettable SeoulThe Seoul City Tour was packed but never felt rushed. I loved starting the morning at Jogyesa Temple — the pine tree and golden Buddha statues were so peaceful. Then seeing the Guard Changing Ceremony at Gwanghwamun was like stepping straight into history. By the time we made it to Gyeongbokgung Palace, I was already blown away by the scale of it all. Honestly, one of the best ways to see Seoul’s highlights in a single day.
I joined on a Tuesday so we visited Changdeokgung instead of Gyeongbokgung, and wow, it was stunning. The gardens felt like something out of a movie, so calm compared to the busy city. Bukchon Hanok Village was another favorite — wandering the little alleys between hanok houses made me feel like I’d gone back in time. The mix of history and everyday culture on this tour was exactly what I was hoping for.
The highlight for me was finishing the day with the Namsan cable car and N Seoul Tower. Riding up as the sun was setting and then looking out over the city lights — magical. Earlier in the day we explored hanok houses at Namsangol Village, and it was fascinating to see how people lived centuries ago. The whole tour gave me both the big picture and the little details of Seoul, and I’d absolutely recommend it to first-time visitors.
Foodies, this tour is for you too! After soaking up the history at the palaces and museum, we headed to Gwangjang Market and I finally tried bindaetteok and mayak gimbap. So good I’m still craving it. The balance of temples, markets, and cultural stops like Insadong made the whole day feel well-rounded. Our guide kept it fun with stories I never would’ve learned on my own.
