Yes, a valid passport or Alien Registration Card (ARC) is required for entry into the DMZ. Without it, entry will not be permitted.
Yes, the tour proceeds rain or shine, as most of the itinerary includes indoor or vehicle-based travel. However, access to certain observatories may be restricted depending on weather conditions.
The defector speaks in Korean, but a professional curator will interpret the session into English. You can freely ask questions in English during the Q&A.

Had such a wonderful tour with Daniel! We took the gondola over the DMZ, went down into the tunnels, and got an unforgettable view of North Korea from the observatory. The day even ended with delicious soybean ice cream. Truly an incredible experience!

I had such a great time on this tour! Yong was super knowledgeable and made the history between North and South Korea really easy to understand and interesting. Pickup was smooth and the ride itself was super comfortable, which made the whole day stress-free. We stopped at the Gamaksan bridge, got some amazing views over the DMZ, and I honestly walked away knowing so much more about Korea’s past. Highly recommend if you’re visiting!
