Experience overloadWhat made the tour truly special wasn’t just the incredible food, but the way Yoonie brought each dish to life by explaining the traditions behind it — from how Koreans share plates and pour drinks for one another to the little tricks of mixing flavors. The small group setting made it easy to laugh, connect, and swap stories along the way, and by the final round of soju, we had gone from strangers to friends.
The Night Dining Tour with Daniel was easily one of the most memorable evenings we had in Seoul. From the moment we met the group, Daniel made everyone feel welcome, like we were heading out to dinner with old friends rather than strangers. He kicked things off at a tucked-away barbecue joint where we grilled our own meat, and while we ate, he explained little details about Korean dining culture — like why lettuce wraps are always paired with soju. As the night went on, we wandered through buzzing alleyways lit with neon signs, stopping for savory pancakes at one stall and spicy rice cakes at another. At a traditional pub, Daniel taught us the “rules” of pouring drinks for each other, and suddenly the table was filled with laughter as we all tried it out. What I loved most was how much insight we got into everyday Korean life, while still having an absolute feast. It wasn’t just about the food — though everything we ate was delicious — but about the stories, the atmosphere, and the sense of connection. By the end of the night, I was full, happy, and felt like I’d experienced a piece of Seoul I never could have found on my own.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Night Dining Tour, but it ended up being one of the best nights I had in Seoul. From the very first stop, Daniel made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun — no stress about where to go or what to order, he had it all covered. We tried a mix of local spots I would never have found on my own, from a tiny barbecue place tucked down an alley to a buzzing market stall with sizzling snacks.
I had such a great time on this tour with Ricky! He kept everything moving at just the right pace and always made sure everyone in the group was comfortable. He knew so much about the places we visited, but what really made it special was his sense of humor and how easygoing he was. It felt more like hanging out with a friend than being on a tour. Definitely recommend!
