Who We Are

Founded in 2012 by a Korean Museum Curator and a Tour Guide/Restaurateur, 8 Birds Tours and Events specializes in authentic South Korea tours that highlight the country’s top attractions, hidden gems, and cultural heritage. Our expertly crafted itineraries offer immersive food experiences, from Korean BBQ to traditional bibimbap, while accommodating all dietary needs. With a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and sustainability, we provide fully insured, stress-free travel experiences through Korea’s breathtaking landscapes.

Our Values

At 8 Birds Tours, we’re not just another travel company – we’re serious about doing tourism right. We only work with local partners in South Korea who actually care about the environment, not just those who slap a green label on their brochures. Our tours support small bio farms that are doing incredible work in sustainable agriculture, giving travelers a real look at how innovative farming can protect our planet. We’re big fans of Seoul’s amazing public transit system, and we always encourage our guests to ditch expensive taxis and hop on the metro or buses. It’s cheaper, faster, and way better for the environment.

Behind “8 Birds”

The name 8 Birds was inspired by the island name in Korea “Seo-do” (세어도) where Yoonie Park came from. The “세어” means “bird” and the number “8” sideways is the symbol for infinity to connote all the initiatives 8 Birds Tours and Events strive to achieve.

My wife and I loved this tour, but what made it ideal was Dan. We loved the Korean BBQ, Korean pancakes, Korean fried chicken, and the walk through the market. We shared our experience with a great couple from New York. We truly couldn’t have asked for more for a couple of adventure seeking foodies. Top notch organization by Dan and a strong recommendation if you want to taste the local flavors while in Seoul…and why wouldn’t you!?

Daniel Gray, personable, articulate, knowledgeable and FUN! The tour was exceptional! We explored and tasted many different rounds of food, starting with Korean BBQ. It was delicious! Daniel was the perfect host! His associate, Yoon was very helpful as well! We ate lots at different places while Daniel gave us a tour of the area as well. He even handled my son’s food allergy discreetly. I LOVED this walking, eating tour! Highly recommend! Highlight of our trip! Well worth the cost!

Went on the West side food tour with Dan and as usual it was fab! Dan always picks restaurants with really great food with amazing quality and also manages to educate/provide info on the area we’re in, the food we’re having and even Korean culture. It’s my third tour with Dan and I can’t recommend Delectable Travels enough!

It was awesome! Yoon was a wonderful guide and took us to local places. Korean BBQ where the food was amazing I’ve been eating Korean BBQ my whole trip and so far that was my favorite spot. The next place was a pancake place which had kimchee, potato, and our Hawaii favorite, spam. So good! We walked through a cute market where we got a sweet sugar pancake of deliciousness before stopping at this joint that had the most unusual but best combination of chicken, cheese and spaghetti noodles with tomato sauce. We even learned fun games and met new great people that were part of the tour. It was so fun and would do it again if we had more time here and will definitely do it again next time we visit!! Thank you Yoon!!!
